Paragraphs are boring. Lists are better. Nobody cares about dates (hey, this isn’t social studies class!), so bullets it is!
- Received lovely Minolta Maxxum camera 20 years ago when then-boyfriend decided I needed “a hobby.”
- Took classes, managed to stay awake during discussions about ‘aperture,’ ‘shutter speed,’ and ‘depth of field.’
- Impressed our 20-something friends with my photographs of barns, fences and – most famously – my series on ‘The Doors of the Stockade.’ That or they were patronizing me for continued invitations to our amazing parties.
- Married boyfriend, built a house, had a baby who is now 12.
- Moved to Georgia, then Illinois, then Georgia, then Pennsylvania.
- Enjoyed a lively career in scrapbooking (Creating Keepsakes Hall of Fame Class of 2003 – holla!).
- If you’re laughing, I forgive you.
- Spent several years working as an artist for Two Peas in a Bucket, Autumn Leaves and Hero Arts, with freelance work for Creating Keepsakes, Better Homes & Gardens and Simple Scrapbooks.
- Had baby #2. Born via IVF, preemie, now 6 going on 17.
- Opened a successful portrait photography business. Photographed Atlanta’s moms-to-be, babies, families, and kids. Moved into a studio then found out we were moving to Pennsylvania. Oh well!
- Spent 6 months trying to decide whether to reopen, ultimately deciding to focus on family and art.
- Opened Etsy store to sell Fine Art and found total happiness in knowing that people would spend their hard-earned money to have my work on their walls.

- When I’m not out photographing pretty things or managing my household and children, I love to cook, read, minimize and organize things, spend inordinate amounts of time consuming information on the internet, impress my children with useless factoids, take Les Mills classes, run, and watch TV.
- Think one-note blogs are boring, and I’m too lazy to have multiple blogs (tried that, failed) so I post about any and all of the above subjects.
- I like comments, leave me one!
