The ‘L’ Family: A Sneak Peek

So this was my 2nd time photographing this wonderfully gracious and gorgeous family. You may remember adorable little Megha, who I photographed as a newborn.

We met on a recent Sunday evening, listening to the thunder in the distance and hoping we would finish before it reached us (we did!). The sun was starting to set, which allowed for some amazing golden backlighting (my favorite!).

Here is sweet Megha and her lovely mama:

Some love from Daddy…

Here is very handsome big brother Ishaan. I think I mentioned it last time, but he has the most amazing eyes!

This family loves one another so much - so we finished the shoot with a whole lot of hugs and kisses and piggyback rides.

A Favorite!!

P & N: Thank you again for yet another wonderful session! I’ll be in touch very soon about the rest of your images!

Aylin at 9 Days: A Sneak Peek

Isn’t she beautiful? She did this all on her own. Sigh…

As soon as Daddy picked her up, this is all she did. :) Daddy’s girl already!

And with her lovely mama…

This one just makes me teary…it’s just all sweet baby smells and coos and love…

My Favorite…

With her absolutely adorable big sister Reagan…

And the whole wonderful family…

Shannon, Josh, Reagan and Aylin: Thank you for yet another amazing session. I hope you enjoyed your sneak peek, and I’ll be in touch very soon with the rest of your images!

Beckett & Caden

I first met these two adorable boys back in February for Beckett’s 3 month session. And now they’re leaving me - waaaah! Dad has taken an overseas position, so this will be my last session with them for some time. They are a lovely, lovely family and I wish them all the best with their exciting adventure!

Bare baby bottom…bright eyes…and thumb sucking. Does it get ANY sweeter than this? I think not.

And big brother Caden…

Mom wanted a few shots in this wooden high chair. Needless to say, now I MUST have one to take on my 6 month old shoots. So I’m on the hunt again! ;)

THAT FACE!!!! You’re smiling too now, aren’t you?

A snuggle from mom. Definitely one of my favorites!

Caden is going through that “Faces are FUN!” stage. And all the moms of boys out there are nodding their heads in understanding. ;)

And one of mom and dad. It’s really a shame they don’t like each other. HA! This family has a lot of fun together - they’re a joy to be around!

And lastly - I wasn’t going to share this one because it’s not my typical style. But I love how it turned out so much that I’m going to! Ha!

When mom told me she wanted a formal portrait, I had a moment of consideration - I don’t have studio lights or extensive backdrops - but we chatted on the phone for a bit and I got a good understanding of what she was looking for. She has special plans for the image.

When I got to their house, I spotted the refinished mahogany garage doors…then I asked for a rug to cover the concrete driveway…a chair from the dining room…and voila!

I so love how this turned out - I have a whole series. We shot this when I first arrived, and how did I get Caden to smile? Raspberries, of course! (loud ones). And how adorable is he in his little formal boy clothes? I love it!

M & M, thank you again for yet another wonderful session!

Kim, Kate & Erin

Kim originally booked her session so we could capture some shots of her with her girls - but then we got to chatting and she mentioned that Kate was graduating this year (congratulations!!). So we decided to make it a multi-purpose session: New pictures of mom with her daughters…and some senior shots of Kate.

After a few reschedules due to (again!) our wacky weather, we met up on a GORGEOUS afternoon at East Cobb Park.

Here are all three beautiful ladies…

And the lovely High School Graduate…

(and btw, when she got out of the car, I said the same thing you’re thinking - and yes, she hears it a lot!)

This is her equally lovely younger sister Erin:

I have to say…these two girls were so nice, sweet and willing to try anything…I could have picked Kim’s brain for an hour to figure out how to accomplish that with my little one!

Here are a few more of Kate…

And one last one of mom and her girls…

We finished at just the right time - a HORRIBLE (as in tornado warnings all over the place - tornado sirens going off, you name it!) rolled in just as we finished. Our timing was perfect. Kim, Kate and Erin - thank you again for such a wonderful session!!
