Phew!

We’re headed out for our annual visit to see the family in New York soon, so I’ve been working like mad to get my most recent sessions edited and live before we leave. And I just finished! I didn’t want my clients to have to wait - and now they don’t!

I will be out of the office until August 6th but if you need to reach me, you can call or e-mail - I will have some limited internet access (my parents still have dial-up - seriously). I am fully booked for August and most of September, but if you need a session asap I’m happy to add you to a waiting list in case of a cancellation or reschedule.

For our trip, the kids are pretty excited about going to the lake, camping, and riding nana and poppy’s horses. Vic is playing rugby in Saranac, and I’ll just be doing my best to avoid all of the yummy summer food I can’t have. Boo! Oh, I’m down 21 pounds, by the way - since a few of you have asked! Two sizes down…maybe one more to go. I’m pretty happy right now.

I promise to share more when we return, but here are mini-peeks from my most recent sessions.

Sweet Jack…who I got to photograph for the 3rd time:

Adorable Riya. This was our 2nd session together…

And smiley miss Hannah (with a little vintage treatment), who I met for the first time.

Catch you all in a couple of weeks!

Ladies, and Gentlemen, I present…

The “Minnie Mouse.”

Ever since going to Disney, if anyone says “Ava, do Minnie!” this is what she does. Then we all laugh and say how cute she is. Yeah…kid’s a quick study.

Here she is with my friend Paige’s daughter Helen (on the right) and neighbor Catherine (on the left).

Whenever we go to Paige’s house, these two sweet girls whisk Ava off to play, and I hardly see her for the entire visit.

Needless to say, I love Helen and Catherine. :)

The ‘P’ Family: A Sneak Peek

Seriously? I have so many favorites from this session I think the hardest part was choosing which ones to post for the sneak peek!

Meet sweet little Breanna. 4 years old. Loves the camera. Absolutely precious.

And her very handsome big brother Dhruv. 7 years old. Plays tennis and golf. Going into 2nd grade. Dodgeball champion.

And the whole family together…

I’m a sucker for candid daddy shots…

Favorite!!

At the end of the session, mom asked if I could take some family portraits in their Indian clothes. Absolutely!!

Is there any light yummier than doorway light? I think not.

A & S: Thank you for a wonderful session!!

Christian • 1 Year

I think what I love most about my 6-12 month olds are the expressions. It’s almost as if they’re just discovering that they can do things with their faces and make those silly big people laugh. And little Christian? Did not disappoint. Get ready for some serious adorable-ness!

Check the eyebrow! I love it.

One thing I should mention is that Mr. C is on the verge of walking. Which means he wants to PRACTICE. A LOT.

(unlike my Ava who is on the verge of potty training, but has no interest in practicing…but I digress!).

Christian’s family just moved to the area from Pennsylvania. Now the folks back home can see how lovely their neighborhood is

(it really is a lovely area!).

That face! So cute. It’s like he’s saying “Oh, ok, if I give you a little grin can I FINALLY have that apple wheel that mommy’s been promising?

Some Mommy time…

And some really fun Daddy time…

And the whole gorgeous family…

And now is a good time to mention that this family recently added a new <ahem> baby to the family…

That is a fully restored ‘65 Mustang. SWEET! I had to laugh when Dad asked if I would take some shots of it. Since my first 10 years of photography love were spent mainly shooting architecture…well, this was a blast for me. And my mom had a ‘66 mustang back in the day…so I understand the car love…

C & C: Thank you for such a great session - little Christian is absolutely adorable!! And the new car’s ok too. ;)
