ch ch ch ch CHANGES: My new website launched!

Guess what? I have a brand shiny new website!

For quite some time, I’ve wanted a new site that would showcase my wonderful clients in big, bold fashion - but I’m a stickler for clean/classic designs. Well, the wonderful folks who designed my original site came up with a new version with larger images, and VOILA!

I’ve been working on it here and there for a few weeks - go take a look: Lisa Russo Photography. If anything doesn’t look right or doesn’t work, please let me know!

In other news, with the new website launch, I decided to freshen up my branding and logo. Since my focus is primarily little ones and families, I wanted a cleaner, more modern design. You can see it up above when you first load the blog.

As always, thanks for visiting!!

Building a Gallery Wall

Do you remember my recent post with the gorgeous wall gallery from Martha Stewart Living?

So I have this little landing at the top of my stairs. Before yesterday, it featured a lonely portrait of Aidan. But now it looks like this:

That’s an 11×14 portrait, an 11×14 collage, a 10×20 and an empty (for now) 8×8 matted frame. Two have glass, two don’t - I’m definitely a mix and match kinda gal. But it looks nice, right? All on its’ own - a nice little starter gallery.

But in the future as I have more pictures to hang? Oh yeah…

See how easy that is? I often tell my clients they do NOT have to fill a wall. It’s nice to get a little gallery started, and then you have a place to hang new portraits over time. And it’s so easy to add to an asymmetrical gallery - pretty much anything goes, you just fit it in like a puzzle.

Thank you, Martha!

Aidan: “Why do you want to take a picture?”

Me: “Because Nana and Oma and Opa will love seeing you in your uniform.”

Aidan: “You’re going to post it on your blog, aren’t you?”

Me: “Why, yes I am.”

Aidan: “Are you going to say that I look like a goofy goober?”

Me: “No, of course not.”
