I met darling Caroline on an absolutely perfect morning. Isn’t she beautiful?

Toddler sessions are always an adventure – this is the age where baby is really finding her way, learning to express her opinion, and fully (!) expects to be the boss. And Miss Caroline was no exception. She was completely fine with several gorgeous dress changes (girl = naturally!), however she really just wanted to roam and enjoy the surroundings on her own. And we were happy to do just that.

She was also quite fond of the game “so big,” birds and airplanes. And hugs from mommy…

Things often happen for a reason. After an original date in January, Tanika and I rescheduled a couple of times due to weather… and ended up with the most *perfect* morning for our session. Beautiful skies, blooming flowers, crisp Spring air (we just ignored the yellow pollen flying about).

How sweet are the kids together? Brittani is quite the soccer player, and Jayden plans to follow directly in her footsteps. I think I said it about 50 times during our session, but isn’t he absolutely adorable? That smile!

And can you believe Brittani is only 12?!?!? And I thought Aidan was tall! What a sweet, sweet girl – so patient with her baby brother. And just as beautiful as her mother.

I have enjoyed photographing this family over the past year so very much, starting when sweet Owen was just a wee newborn. Look at him now, all toddler (meaning “on the run!”) and FULL of personality!

And I always enjoy spending time with big brother Ethan, who definitely enjoys the camera (and the camera clearly feels the same way!). Latest obsession? Water buffaloes. We were discussing buffaloes for awhile, and he was telling me how they live in South America and like to eat seaweed. Being more familiar with the buffalo variety typically found in Nebraska, I got a bit confused (happens a lot). So he went and got one of his toys so I would understand. Ahhh…WATER buffaloes!

Sweet boys, I have so enjoyed our sessions. Thank you for always being so darling!

About once a year, I like to completely redo my website. Partly to keep things fresh, and partly to show off my previous year’s clients. Although I do my best to keep my website images updated throughout the year, I just never seem to find the time to make it happen!

I know mom Kari is waiting patiently to see her sneak peek from Reagan’s 2nd session, so without further ado…hello there, little miss adorable!

Is she not the most darling peanut? Her rolls…sigh…I think I squeezed her about 500 times. But she only got annoyed with me once. She’s pretty darned irresistable, though – so who can blame me?!

I’ve been photographing this family since big brother Thomas was a newborn, and I just love the little man he’s growing up to be. An absolute sweetheart.

Oh, and the little socks? Seriously. Can you stand the cuteness?!? Where were those when my Ava was a baby?? Do you think she’d wear them now? Probably not.

So what happens when a baby has ‘just’ passed the newborn stage? This:

Head held high, smiles, bright eyes…and personality galore. What a darling 4 month old little Maddox is.

Do you think his parents like him just a little bit? Yeah, that’s a new favorite family image for sure!

In the past two weeks, I’ve had three families travel quite lengthy distances to have me photograph their little ones. I cannot even TELL you how flattering that is! This wonderful family drove in from Auburn to have me photograph sweet Jacob, the newest member of their family.

Even after the drive in, sweet Jacob slept like a dream, only waking a couple of times for a sip or two from his bottle.

Guess who has a wonderful, superhero and kit-kat-loving big brother named William to give him hugs and teach him all sorts of fun things?

So after the freezing cold, but before the rain, I had the pleasure of meeting this absolutely snuggleable (is that a word? it is now!) little sweetheart:

Sweet little Simms slept…and slept…and slept…I honestly don’t believe I’ve ever had such a full, content, sleepy babe in front of my camera.

Right at the end of the session, mom Christy and I spent some time actually trying to WAKE him up – unwrapping, singing…he did open his eyes for a second or two, but then it was right back to dreamland.

Simms is a very lucky fellow in that he has big brother William to look up to. William was an absolute sweetheart to photograph, and was *so* kind and gentle with his baby brother.
