I met darling Caroline on an absolutely perfect morning. Isn’t she beautiful?

Toddler sessions are always an adventure – this is the age where baby is really finding her way, learning to express her opinion, and fully (!) expects to be the boss. And Miss Caroline was no exception. She was completely fine with several gorgeous dress changes (girl = naturally!), however she really just wanted to roam and enjoy the surroundings on her own. And we were happy to do just that.

She was also quite fond of the game “so big,” birds and airplanes. And hugs from mommy…

Moms usually book their newborn session with me. But this time, it was daddy Sam who arranged the session for mom. Love that! And he is positively smitten with his sweet baby girl.

I always tell my clients that if – for whatever reason – we have to reschedule our session, luck will prevail and we will have a *perfect* day (and yes, I know I just jinxed myself by saying that!). Kelly first scheduled Bay’s session with me back in January, then we had a few reschedules (not sitting yet, weather, weather, weather…um…weather?) and we ended up with the most PERFECT day for an outdoor session, a happy, sitting baby, and amazing session images.

Are you kidding me? How cute is she?

And let’s not forget very handsome big brother Luke!

He was so sweet with his baby sister…and you all know I have a big soft spot for sweet big brothers. :)

B family, thank you *so much* for such a perfect session: It was definitely worth the wait!

mackenzie | atlanta baby photographer

Seriously, how beautiful is this sweet wee one? I swear, when she came in and I saw her hair, her amazing eyes, the soft pink footie pajamas (my clients are well aware of my fondness for footed jammies)…I believe I squealed out loud. Mackenzie is quite simply a stunningly beautiful baby.

Her mom Alyssia told me she loves to read the stories on my blog…and knew I’d share theirs. But all I will say is that the soft pink jammies only made it through a few shots. Let’s just say that a recent addition of rice cereal to her diet + a full bottle of formula in the car ride + rolling around on the bed in my studio….. (all of the experienced moms are nodding their heads, knowing EXACTLY what happened).

And, per usual, these mishaps don’t bother the wee ones at all, and we carried on as happy as could be. ;)

And I will finish up with my favorite image of the session – I have a very similar image of Ava when she was this age, and it is my all-time favorite memory of her. Just pure baby peacefulness.

I’m so happy to announce the Lisa Russo Photography app for the iPhone: iLRPhoto!

The app is new, so bear with me – right now there is an adorable daily image, some photography tips, and contact and social media information. But stay tuned! The app is free, and I have a few things up my sleeve for this year – so it’ll definitely be a good thing to have the app downloaded. How fun is this going to be?
