I was seriously not even considering it until you mentioned no trees and a long battery life. That might have cinched it for me.
(and I'm kinda addicted to looking ahead in books I don't like, or rereading certain sections or books I love... can you skim through to a favorite section?)
How many books can you "keep" on a Kindle?

I knew you would love it once you got started!! So glad you are enjoying it (as much as I enjoy my Kindle!!). I'm on my 23rd book since Christmas and can't put the thing down!

Ooh, I've wondered about this. But I keep coming back to my fear that technology like Kindle will replace the experience of cracking open a good book, smelling the pages and feeling the story under your fingertips.

I totally love my Kindle II too - I'd used a Sony eBook Reader for several years, but I found it annoying that to purchase new books for it from the Sony store I had to drag out my PC and download them, then move them to the Reader (I've moved from a PC to a Mac, so this was extra irritating). Once I decided to get a Kindle I waited and waited for the new version to debut in February, but once I received it I was in HEAVEN. I can't imagine ever going back to either a paper book or the Sony version. Love the Kindle II

Lovin' the list idea - I might actually have to get a Kindle now seeing as I'm a voracious (and speedy) reader myself but I've been holding out. Hmm... Can't wait to see what makes the list next!
