  • Lisa Russo Photography is currently on hiatus during our relocation from Atlanta, Georgia to Erie, Pennsylvania. Stay tuned to the blog for move updates, posts about Lisa's other loves (cooking, gardening, books, iPhone apps, reading....), and notice of when we're all set up and ready to start photographing babies, children and families in the Erie, PA area.

Something New | Atlanta, Georgia Photographer

Since I see so many of my clients multiple times as their kiddos grow (and they have new additions!), I’m always on the lookout for new things to keep my sessions fresh. My altogether too frequent trips to the area antique markets for props are well documented here on the blog!

So thanks to a push from my friend Marie, I’m trying some new fabric backdrops to add something a little different to my indoor sessions. I picked up 4 today and bribed my resident model with a lollipop so I could get some test shots.

This one is my favorite – just a nice tan/gold pattern that I’ll love to use for kids of all ages along with mom/baby and mom/dad/baby images:

This is a really vintage look that will be perfect for little boys and my antique scale:

(just ignore the horribly shy and introverted 3 year old in the picture – it really is a shame we can’t get her to come out of her shell.)

I added a little vintage look to this one, but it’s a cream/tan/aqua that will be perfect for babies and all my kiddos:

And I couldn’t possibly resist this one. Ava said it had “Sleeping Beauty’s Flowers!!!” on it. So there you go…
