If you ever wonder why I prefer to photograph newborns when they’re under 10 days, this is why. Meet the adorable miss Sophie Claire, at all of 8 days:

She was content, sleepy, loved to curl up, and even opened her eyes for a little while. Here she is with her beautiful mother, wrapped in a blanket made by her grandmother:

I was fascinated by the way Sophie held her feet – with the bottoms together. It was so cute, I think I spent 10 minutes taking pictures of her toes!

Tina and Mike, thank you so much for selecting me to chronicle the arrival of your beautiful daughter. She’s absolutely lovely.

Michelle Kane - Wow, she is lovely… what a gorgeous baby! Love the 1st shot – [well, love them all :-) ]

Kassia - Gorgeous :)

Kathy - Absolutely gorgeous!

Don Butland III - Tina and Mike these are REALLY good! How can you have a favorite!! I love them ALL!!

Marmalade - she is such a sweet thing! That last shot is a stunner, that is art, I hope they order that one large for wall placement, it is so beautiful.

Kimberly - Oh, those toes! She must have had her feet just that way in-utero. What a precious memory for Mom & Dad to treasure. I absolutely agree the last shot must be a wall portrait – pure art.

Martha - These are beautiful, as always. Love the toes and where do you get all your wonderful props? Love the baskets and all the lovely blankets.

Rita Cambron - Tina, Mike and my wonderful friend Gloria, she is absolutely beautiful. I know how proud you all must be. Gloria, how wonderful it would be if she “fell in love” with ballet.

God bless you all!
