I first photographed these two adorable kiddos when miss Caroline was all of 3 months old. And here she is, a toddler. Where does the time go?

I’m showing these two images first, because I know mom Susan will laugh. Let me tell you: Once miss Caroline saw this chair (and you can see the glee in her face, can’t you?) the whole rest of the session revolved around the pink chair. If we put it away, she wanted it out. If we hid it in my truck, she went to the truck and pointed. If we brought out another chair….nope, she only wanted the pink one. When we went in the backyard, she wanted to go out front where the chair was. She IS a girl, afterall!

And here is big brother Wesley. Every time I turned my camera to him, he gave me this million-dollar smile. This kid’s gonna be a star, you mark my words. He is truly one of the most delightful five year olds I’ve ever met. Such a sweet, sweet boy.

I’m a t-shirt lover. I admit it. Although I TRY to be stylish, and even buy fancier things from time to time, it’s the t-shirts that I wear on a daily basis. But I’m picky. I like them not too tight…not too loose. Flattering and shaped, not a big ugly box. Not so heavy that they’re warm in the summer, but not so thin that you can see through them. Not too long…not too short. Oh, and I like a nicely finished neckline. I also have bigg-ish arms, so I like a high neck in a sleeveless top.

Enter the Land’s End 1×1 Rib Tee. I discovered these a few years ago and they’re my staple. I buy them in bulk – short sleeved and sleeveless in the summer…long-sleeved in the winter. They’re amazingly comfortable, and hold up after a gazillion washes. I wear the white ones to my sessions (human reflector, anyone?) . I wear them so often that I buy a new supply every season and demote the previous group to pajama and yard duty (hey, it’s pretty hot here in Georgia, so white Ts have a finite lifespan, if you know what I mean…)

I just got my summer ’09 delivery last week. I waited for one of Sears’ frequent sales + free shipping and for around $120 I bought 13 shirts – 6 white for work, 4 sleeveless in a variety of colors, and a few others to mix it up. Oh, in size small (had to throw that in there). :)

Some links:

Crew Neck Short Sleeve

V-Neck Short Sleeve

Sleeveless

Modern Rib Ts (I have a couple of these, still deciding if I like them. They’re thinner, longer and more fitted. Jury’s still out)

Happy shopping!

what to wear wednesday

Is it Wednesday already?!? How did that happen?!

Here’s this week’s installment. Sorry for the Gap (again) for mom and dad, but their clothes are so accessible and come in such lovely colors. Kiddos outfits are from Janie and Jack. For this ensemble, I let the little girl shine in a bright dress, and kept the other outfits more neutral to coordinate. Enjoy!

patrick | atlanta newborn photographer

Meet sweet little Patrick. It’s no secret to all of my newborn parents that one of the reasons I love photographing babies are the snuggles. Oh how I love baby snuggles. And little Patrick? I even got to give him a bottle, which wonderfully brought me back to when Ava was a baby. They just grow up too fast! Sigh…

I loved the colors here:

He has been lovingly welcomed into the most wonderful family – so I tried a new variation of this pose:

The whole family, including the two dogs who cracked me up barking at me (and then pretending I didn’t exist once they decided I was ok). They’re already protective of their new little brother.

Sue and Perri, thank you so much for the pleasure of photographing your sweet little Patrick!
