We’re well into Spring baseball – Aidan is playing for the Dodgers, and Vic is a coach (which cracks me up). They are currently undefeated.
Between Saturday shoots and chasing Ava, I don’t get to watch many of his games, but I did catch one a few weeks ago to get some shots to share with Nana, Poppy, Oma and Opa:

(tech stuff: all shot with the 5D + 135 2.0 – through the fence)

Photographers are always on the lookout for beautiful things – and ever since we planted the maple tree in our front yard a couple of years ago, I’ve loved watching the first leaf buds erupt – they’re just so fragile and small and lovely. And they only stay that way for about a week.
Yesterday afternoon, I went outside with my 100mm 2.8 macro to photograph them. This 10×20 collage (in a coffee frame) will soon hang on the wall in the kids’ bathroom that Vic is remodeling (pics of that coming soon). It makes me happy.

Sweet little Steven’s mom contacted me shortly after he was born, and I was so happy I was able to fit him in! He was only 7 days old when I photographed him, and he was as sleepy and curled up as a newborn can be.

Isn’t he just precious? He has a full head of hair, and those cheeks and lips!

Keely and Lou – thank you for sharing your sweet boy with me!
As an aside…My frequent blog readers may notice that I’m not showing as many images in this sneak peek. Trust me, it’s not due to a lack of sweet images of darling Steven! I’ve decided that I’m just showing too many and spoiling the surprise for mom and dad! And I honestly have such a hard time deciding what to show – I always have so many favorites. So I’m going to attempt to limit my sneak peeks to 3 or 4 images from now on.

Some of my long-time blog readers may recognize this little cutie. I first photographed her as a newborn, then again last Fall for her holiday pictures. And now? She’s celebrating her birthday! It’s so fun for me to see how my little ones grow – look how proud she is about learning to walk (and the expressions on mom and dad’s faces = priceless!):

Hello beautiful girl!

About 30 minutes into our session, miss Elizabeth Ann got a bit tired. The magic ticket? Cheese (of course!) and a toy. This is definitely a favorite of mine – just pure joy!

Betts and Chris: Thank you for once again sharing your sweet girlie with me. She’s an absolute joy to photograph!
