Is it ok to call a baby boy ‘beautiful?’ I suppose until he’s 5 and tells you he’s ‘handsome,’ it’s fair game right? If so…

Yeah. Beautiful. So is his mama…

And big brother George? How about ‘absolutely adorable?’ Yup, that fits. Check out this sweet smile:

I love newborns. I love walking in to see that sweet, tiny new bundle in mom’s arms. I love pulling back baby’s soft blanket to take a peek. I love chubby cheeks, little toes, and their umbilical cord stump. I love the contented sigh newborns make when they get comfortable and the way they suck on their hands when they’re hungry. The way they open their eyes and stare at a bright window like it’s the most fascinating thing in the universe.

And most of all I love photographing newborns. Meet sweet little Madison Alana:

Hello beautiful mama…

I’m often asked (by grandmothers, actually!) if I have the best job in the world. And I always say “Oh yes, I do.” Jennifer and Brent, thank you so much for sharing your adorable little baby with me. It was a pleasure to photograph her.

canvas rocks.

I’m so pleased that more and more of my clients lately are choosing gallery-wrapped canvas to display their favorite session images.

This is why:

Oh, trust me – I love a classic framed print as well as the next person. I have quite a few of them in my home. But canvas is just…JUST…I can’t come up with the right word. ‘Cool’ doesn’t really do it justice. I know when I open a canvas and see it for the first time, I almost always say “Wow.”

It makes a statement…it’s artistic…it’s modern.

Here’s a close-up of the texture:

Yum. Maybe that’s the right word?

McKinley | Marietta Children’s Photographer

Well hello there beautiful girl.

Before our session, McKinley’s mom warned me several times that she is a 2 year old on the MOVE, and that I’d have to be fast to get any shots with her looking at me. Well, having a 3 year old whirlwind of my own, I knew what to expect – sort of. Let me tell you, miss M is a girlie on a MISSION! From the dirt, to the pond, to the chair, to the fence (which has to be shut properly or she’ll let you know!). She is absolutely full of personality, smiles and energy.

At the end of the session, mom requested a few shots with dad. Love that!

Jennifer and Brian, thank you so much for such a fun session. We all got a good workout, didn’t we? And it was totally worth it!
