Friday after dance class, after picking all the flowers off the lantana, she started wandering around picking up leaves. I asked if she wanted a basket (yes!), so I tossed one down, then followed with my camera.

And my favorite…

My clients often ask me if I take pictures of my kids constantly - and I really don’t. If they’re doing something fun (like this, or the hoppity-hop the other day), I try to run in and grab my camera. But I don’t set up formal ’shoots’ that often.
I really have to be careful or I run the risk of infecting them with the dreaded ‘Photographer’s Kid Syndrome.’ The symptoms of that affliction include running away at the mere sight of a camera, covering one’s face with both hands, and the oh-so-horrible ‘cheesy grin’ <shudder>. Aidan suffered from it for years, but was cured once he noticed all of the pictures going up in the house were of the OTHER kid. But the cheesy grin is really hard to cure.
But I’m going to make more of an effort. Seeing these picture of Ava reminded me of this one from two years ago:

And then I got all sad because she’s growing up so quickly <sniff>. So let’s just move along, shall we!?

She is such a cutie. And look how much she has grown! I love the first shot in the collage where she is looking back at you, so grown up from the little girl in the last shot.
she is so stinkin’ cute! I can’t believe how quick she’s growing!!!
Oh she is just too cute. I love the pictures. If you figure out how to slow down the growing up stuff please share.
She is so beautiful. So sweet. I love the last shot showing us how she has just changed so much, yet there she is…the same sweet cheeks.
That little floral shirt would be my idea of a perfect little girl shirt. LOVE the print.

how precious, your fave shot needs printing BIG
A long time lurker here, now de-lurking, to tell you how much I have enjoyed watching Ava grow up thru your blog. She is such a cutie. I didn’t realize how long I had been seeing her until you put the picture from 2 years ago at the end. Then I thought, I remembered her sweet newborn pictures too. I enjoy seeing Aidan also. I followed him in your scrapbook pages when he as younger. I enjoyed your journaling on those scrapbook pages, always made me laugh. Thanks for sharing such lovely photographs and a little slice of your life too.
Cheers, Sara.
