My latest finds…

Ever since this session with sweet Beckett, I’ve been on the hunt for a similar highchair. He was just so happy sitting there!

I tried to get Monica to part with hers, but she took it to Singapore with her, alas!

Well, after hunting for several months, I FINALLY had success yesterday at one of my favorite local antique marts!

Ava isn’t the intended audience for this chair (7-18 month olds), but she was happy about ok with being my model.

And while I was there, I couldn’t resist this little tricycle, bent wheels and all:

I picture my 12-36 month little boys on this little gem. I love that the bell rings!

To conclude this post, I want to say that my heart and thoughts go out today to all of the children who lost  a parent on 9/11/01. I was watching the reading of the names this morning and it reminded me yet again of the staggering number of families that were affected, and how different our world is today. A huge thank you to all of the servicemen and -women who are out there making sure it doesn’t ever happen again.

Come to Michigan - shoot my kids - I’ll give you my old wooden highchair, my antique teetor-totter and, hmm…surely I must have something else to sweeten the deal. I’ll be in touch. (off to hunt thru the garage…….)

Cute new props! Me thinks she likes the trike much better than the chair!
