I wanted to share my new and improved workstation:

That lovely little device next to my Wacom tablet is my new X-keys desktop. I first saw one at a workshop over a year ago and the techie geek in me almost drooled on it.
But I held off and - after many months of waffling - finally gave in and got one. What does it do? Well, it allows you to program keystrokes into macros that you execute with one little click of an X-key button. So all those photoshop tasks I have built into actions? One press of a button.
(ok, so I also have them set up as Fkeys and that was working fine, but I hated having to reach up to the keyboard all the time - it was wreaking havoc on my shoulder).
And it’s Heaven having R, X and P keys set up for my Lightroom work. Ahhh….
When Vic first saw it, he rolled his eyes (naturally), but hey - at least I showed some restraint and didn’t get the 58 key, right? It wouldn’t have fit on my tray anyway.
