My own pretty princess.

I had two (yes two!) wee newborns today - 7 days old and 8 days old - perfect! I’ll share them with you soon - I so love the babies.

And sleep. My thoughts go out to Blair and Samuel’s tired parents tonight - here’s wishing you all more than 2 hours of sleep!

Last night miss Ava climbed up on my stool - the better for me to see her “pretty dress” (ever since our trip to Disney we’ve fully entered “pretty dress” mode - every morning, as soon as she wipes the sleep from her eyes, she’s asking for the day’s “pretty dress.” Pretty shorts? Pretty t-shirt? No. Dresses only.).

Anyway - seeing an opportunity, I threw open the front door and slid the stool over for an impromptu photo shoot. So here she is in all her clearly shy and introverted glory. Pretty dress and all.

(I asked for a pretty princess smile and got this…hmmm….have we created a monster?)

Happy 4th of July, everyone!

She is so beautiful that it leaves me speechless. My daughter went through a stage where she would only wear a dress that swirled. If it did not swirl forget it. She would then go out and climb a tree or play in the dirt. Now I cannot get her to wear a dress for anything. Oh how I miss those good old days.
Happy fourth and thanks for sharing.
