The ‘L’ Family: A Sneak Peek

So this was my 2nd time photographing this wonderfully gracious and gorgeous family. You may remember adorable little Megha, who I photographed as a newborn.

We met on a recent Sunday evening, listening to the thunder in the distance and hoping we would finish before it reached us (we did!). The sun was starting to set, which allowed for some amazing golden backlighting (my favorite!).

Here is sweet Megha and her lovely mama:

Some love from Daddy…

Here is very handsome big brother Ishaan. I think I mentioned it last time, but he has the most amazing eyes!

This family loves one another so much - so we finished the shoot with a whole lot of hugs and kisses and piggyback rides.

A Favorite!!

P & N: Thank you again for yet another wonderful session! I’ll be in touch very soon about the rest of your images!

Jude at 7 Days: A Sneak Peek

I know I’ve mentioned how much I love when my clients refer me to their friends. It’s just such an honor to know they trust me and my work enough to risk the wrath of their buddies if I mess up. HA! (luckily - as far as I know - that hasn’t happened!).

Well, little Jude is the latest adorable addition to this particular circle. He joins Landon, Harrison, Max, MacKenzie and Emily.

And what a cutie he is!

When Ava saw this one, she exclaimed “He has a little butt!!” HA! Indeed he does!

Sigh…I love squishy baby faces.

See the wee smile?

My favorite!

And since it was warm outside…

Joli and Chris, thank you so much for sharing your adorable little guy with me. I’ll be in touch soon with the rest of your session!

Thursday Randoms…

On my way out to Target tonight for some kid-free shopping (e.g. bliss, nirvana, silence), Star 94 was asking people to call in and say what they would do if they could chuck their current job and start over doing their dream job. And I thought to myself “I AM doing my dream job.” To be able to do the thing you love most? Almost as good as a kid-free shopping trip to Target!

With the money he made selling his games and books at the garage sale, Aidan bought Mario Super Smash Brothers Brawl for the wii. Our house has now become a magnet for every 7-9 year old in a 5 mile radius. Clearly, this is THE fun game to have. It’s rated ‘T,’ but I checked it out and it doesn’t seem overly violent - and there’s no blood. And they laugh and jump around. So it gets the thumbs-up from me.

If someone knows how to teach my potty-trained little girl that poop is coming, I’d be grateful. She comes to the realization on her own…just usually about 30 seconds too late.

After hemming and hawing and wanting and coveting…I finally just went and bought myself a Superhero Designs necklace. I’m not a huge jewelry person, but I ADORE colorful beaded necklaces. I bought ‘Earth, ‘and I love it beyond words.

I’ve lost 16 pounds (and counting). The good news: I’m down a size and headed for two. The bad news: All my clothes are baggy and sloppy-looking. And I HATE to clothes shop and don’t really want to just yet. But seriously - worse things to complain about? I think so.

All of the kid clothes and toys that didn’t go during the garage sale (and we had a lot, I kept everything from the time Aidan was a babe), we donated to the Kool Kidz Foundation. They told me today that ours was the largest single donation they’d received (it was around 15 huge bags of clothes and toys). Sure, the tax writeoff is nice, but the ‘feel good’ is even better. If you’re in Atlanta and have things to donate, check them out!

I thought I would post that I am completely booked for sessions through the end of August. Because customer service is *really* important to me, I like to only take a limited number of sessions each month. Over the past few months I’ve taken on too many - and while I was thrilled to do so, I made a couple of minor errors on client orders - and that is absolutely unacceptable to me. SO - June, July and August are fully booked, and any September inquiries are being added to a waiting list. Thank you again to everyone who has referred me to their friends!

Another sneak peek is coming up asap!

Aylin at 9 Days: A Sneak Peek

Isn’t she beautiful? She did this all on her own. Sigh…

As soon as Daddy picked her up, this is all she did. :) Daddy’s girl already!

And with her lovely mama…

This one just makes me teary…it’s just all sweet baby smells and coos and love…

My Favorite…

With her absolutely adorable big sister Reagan…

And the whole wonderful family…

Shannon, Josh, Reagan and Aylin: Thank you for yet another amazing session. I hope you enjoyed your sneak peek, and I’ll be in touch very soon with the rest of your images!
