my hips don’t lie

So today I went to the gym (per usual), and decided to try a class I hadn’t taken before – I usually just do cardio on Wednesday, but it’s good to mix things up, right?
I walk into the Body Vive class, to find it had been swapped with a Zumba Fitness class. Which is Latin...

showing off my mad photoshop skills

You like my photoshop couch?

Hmmm….it actually looks more like a bed, doesn’t it? It’s just for demonstration purposes! Oh, and to show you another wall gallery. The couch is 90″ wide, and the images are 11×15s (the benefit of custom portraits & framing is we can do ANY size – no wacky cropping!).
Here is the...

silver frames (ahhh….)

So do you remember this Wall Gallery? Well, the framed prints were so absolutely breathtaking, I HAD to snap a couple of quick shots to share.
I tell ya…black will ALWAYS be classic, but silver – in the right location – is amazing.
Forgive the bad product photography (I shoot people, not things), and the white balance...

keeping it real

So I rejoined Weight Watchers this morning. I did WW several years ago – before Aidan was born. For someone who is just a touch obsessive about numbers (that would be me), it’s a great plan. I lost 32 pounds in about 8 months quite easily & got my lifetime membership (hee). I would have...

Family Staircase Gallery

I like to make them…I like to share them! Here’s my most recent wall gallery. My client already had some portraits from an earlier session and asked if I could mix them in. Of course! (they’re in white).
This long staircase runs up the wall right inside the front door. How amazing is this going to...

Since I know a lot of expectant moms, new moms, and friends of expectant moms and new moms visit my blog, I thought I would share…
I remember when Aidan was a baby, I collected those AMAZING Gymboree blankets for him to lie on – we’d take them to friends’ houses, to playgroup, etc. Same with...

Atlantans, help me out!

We went to the OK Cafe today for lunch (yum). Hadn’t been there in quite some time, and I’d forgotten how awesome it was.
We started with the sweet potato chips (naturally!). Vic and I split a BLT and a Chicken Salad Sandwich, while the kids shared a burger with fries.
WHAT IS THE SEASONING...

Upstate New York Sessions Available | Late July

Like last year, I am planning to accept a very limited number of sessions during our annual visit to upstate New York (Albany/Saratoga area) in late July.
I know it’s supposed to be vacation, but I can’t resist the gorgeous summertime scenery & people back in our home state! I also can’t stand to go two...

Ann & Scott • 34 Weeks

Besides being super-fantastically nice and amazing, the #1 thing to know about Ann and Scott is they love their dogs. Before we even had the session, Ann wrote to ask if it would be ok to include them in the shoot.
Ummm…it’s MORE than ok! I love it!

(And…ahem…HELLO cheekbones! Is Ann gorgeous or what?)
One thing to...

today’s happy finds

Ava and I had a little time to kill after the gym this morning, so we took a trip to my favorite little antique market in Woodstock. The same place I found my wagon and chair.
And what treasures did I find? First up, this awesome crate:

How CUTE is that?? I’d been looking for a crate...
