A message from Aidan…

In school today, I learned about Martin Luther King.

He said “I have a dream that my four kids will live in a nation where they’re not judged by the color of their skin, but the content of their character.”

I think that meant a lot, and he said that because he was brave and stood up for what he thought was right.

First sweet little newborn of 2008..

How lucky am I? Look at the sweet little darling I got to meet yesterday. Meet little ‘R:’

Bloglrpriya064bw

With her gorgeous mama…

Bloglrpriya095_2

Little ‘R’ was a little older (4 weeks) than most newborns I get to meet, which meant instead of lots of bare baby images (she preferred swaddling, thank you!), we had lots of wide open eyes and cuddling. Perfect exchange, I’d say!

Her favorite place to be? In daddy’s arms…

Bloglrpriya187

I have to jump in here to say that this dad’s love for his wife and daughter…sigh…magical. I got teary more than once, I admit! What a lucky little girl she is…

Bloglrpriya214

Did she sleep? Yes. But with *very* minimal fiddling! ‘R’ is a very light sleeper!

I hope you enjoyed your sneak peek, R and A! I’ll be in touch very soon with the rest of your images! Thank you again for sharing your sweet little girl with me.

The ‘C’ family…

I shot this session back in December – mom knew I was taking time off after the holidays, and was totally cool with that.

Her exact words? “That kind of cute can keep.”

And I’d have to say that truer words were never spoken. Just check out this cuteness:

First up, we have sweet little ‘M:’

Do these boys have the BEST eyes or what?? I have no clue where they got them…

Bloglrpcrowe179bw

OH, that’s right. That’s where they got them. :)

Now for some family shots…

My snowy trees: the finished product

Well you knew my photoshop-lovin’ self couldn’t just leave it as-is, right?

Here’s the finished product. A self-matted 18×24 that’s going to look perfect hanging on my upstairs landing. I added a slight selenium tone, some grain, some more grain, a little antiquing, a faux hasselblad border, and some text (snowy tree ~ new york, 12.07 ~ l. russo).

In a gorgeous black 3 1/2″ Saratoga frame, it’ll look something like this:

I’ve had a few e-mails about offering this print up for sale. And it is a goal of mine to sell my landscape and architecture artprints. I just want to go back and re-edit a few so I have a nice selection to put up. And I want to have a copy on-hand of each image so I can make sure the final outcome is good enough for me. I’m a teensy bit of a perfectionist when it comes to my final prints. ;)
