My very adorable new handbag - and other musings…

So we’ve discussed in the past that I’m not much of a girly-girl. The biggest shopping excitement in my world is the new Land’s End store they opened in East Cobb - Ok, so it’s a SEARS store, but they carry ALL the Land’s End clothing. Which means I can buy my beloved t-shirts in bulk. Really. Oh, and on Black Friday, guess what I bought? A brand new 500GB external hard drive for $125. Score! Now I have my storage for my early 2008 sessions. Woo!

Anyway, my point is this - give me one decent bag and I’ll carry it daily for months until I’m completely sick of it and need to replace it.

Well, this morning - seeing my desperate need for a little ‘girl time,’ Vic stayed home so I could go to the ‘Apple Annie’ craft show with my friends Paige and Lynn. And wandering around, what should I spy but this ADORABLE bag:

Bag

Now, seeing as I have a perfectly nice bag that I’m not yet sick of, I would normally pass it by. But it’s in MY COLORS! Olive (ok, sort of olive) and Black. How on earth could I resist. So here she is. All mine. Cute, eh?

And that was a very long way of just saying - look at my bag, isn’t it cute?

Another funny (to me) aside: How do you know you’re a photographer? When you’re salivating over some gorgeous canvas paintings that an artist has reproduced as prints, and you’re looking at the dreary, flat prints knowing they’re sooc (straight out of the camera) with no post-processing. And you can feel your hand ghosting on the Wacom tablet with a little curves bump and levels adjustment that would make those colors SING. So - alas, I had to pass them by, knowing I would be irritated every time I looked at them.

Oh, this is for Donna:

Pumpkins

Yup, I still have pumpkins on my front steps. It’s been a very busy season, what can I say? I’m hoping the appropriate holiday decor makes it’s way onto the house by this weekend. Hopefully! :)
