D & J & Baby…

I had the pleasure of shooting D & J on a hot Atlanta Sunday a few weeks ago. They were SO much fun - willing to try anything.

When I suggested we drag their couch onto the porch, instead of thinking I was a loon, they both said “Sure!!” Love that! What a beautiful, loving and fun couple.

The best part for me was finding little pockets of gorgeousness around their house - I think I even saved a tree.
D said they were going to cut down the ugly tree next to their fence, but it made such a pretty appearance in their pictures they might just keep it now! HA! ;)

Here’s a sampling of images from their session:

I love the way he’s looking at her in this one…

This old bench was across the street. I saw it pulling in, and KNEW we’d have to fit it into the shoot somehow…

I cannot WAIT for their newborn session in a couple of months. Thanks again for a wonderful time, you guys!

Black and White or Color?

I’ll share more from this session soon, but I love this image so much I want it BIG for my viewing room.

It speaks to me. The epitome of childhood: running through a pasture. Sigh…to be a kid again!

I’m thinking black and white…but I like the color too. Which do you like better?

Ground Zero

I was browsing through some older pictures tonight and came across this one.

I took it at ground zero in NYC on December 30, 2003. I remember walking through the long glass walkway, looking at the empty basin where the towers stood.

Then we turned a corner and this was there. Two years later and it was still there.

I wasn’t blogging then…but I am now. So I thought I’d share it.
