Gray, gloomy, cold. Perfect Halloween weather!
Ava will be Cinderella – she wanted to be a ladybug, but since she has absolutely no patience, much like her mother she didn’t want to go to a different store, she selected Cinderella as substitute. Aidan is some sort of demon motorcycle rider (“CHOPPER, mom!!”) – he’s 10, need I say more?
Nana is here to accompany Ava in her trick-or-treating, while Aidan is under some strange delusion that he will peruse the neighborhood until midnight. ha. Ha. HA, is what I say to that.
Our home is decorated, the pumpkins are carved, and Vic and I have wine and beer to enjoy whilst greeting our merry and scary visitors.
And since no post is complete without a picture: I was going to take a picture of our pumpkins, but since we Russos like to keep it real…here’s what Halloween is REALLY all about, my friends:

berta - Alas, no scary visitors at our house this year, or any year
Living in the country has it’s perks, but I miss the trick-or-treaters! I buy candy every year, just in case! You would think after 30 years I wouldn’t, but yes, it really is all about the candy and you can’t eat all your childrens candy loot
