santa rosa

We decided (just a couple of weeks ago) to head down to the beach for Labor Day weekend. Based on the input from several smart folks, we decided on Santa Rosa – and it was absolute perfection. Ava and I drove down on Friday, and the boys flew down on Saturday (we found out late that Aidan had a football game on Saturday morning). I loved having the first day alone with my girl. It was her first time seeing the ocean and – in true Ava fashion – it didn’t scare her one bit and she spent every possible moment out in the water.

I shot these on Saturday morning when we went for an early morning walk before heading to the airport. The water really is that turquoise. And now I am insanely jealous of all of my friends who live near the beach.;)

Addie - It looks beautiful there! Oregon water/beaches don’t look like that! Great pictures! Can’t wait for more!

Paula - That’s my old stomping grounds! As a kid, I never knew how lucky I was to live on the beach. I quickly learned once I moved away. Beautiful pics!

Rachel - Santa Rosa is the beach that Brad and I got married on. True perfection. We love it there! Fantastic pictures!

Teresa B - So why did you choose Santa Rosa? Is it a quiet beach? I have never seen the ocean and have always dreamed of doing so. My husband and I would prefer a quiet, less populated beach.

Noelle Buttry - If it’s Santa Rosa, FL, you cannot beat it for quiet and uncrowded. We go to Seacrest/Rosemary Beach every summer and it’s easily the best week of our year. Lisa’s right, the water is truly that blue.

Kristie Stuckel - Beautiful – just amazing!
