one thing’s for certain, nobody in the Russo house will ever be cold.

Let me fill you in on a little secret about newborn photographers: We are *always* on the lookout for a good blanket. Requrements? Neutral in color, nice texture, no sheen. Wrinkle-free, WASHABLE, soft. Even a nice piece of cut fabric will do. Sometimes if we find a great one we’ll <cough> buy a couple – just in case! And if a fabulous blanket is spotted on a colleague’s blog? Someone will end up buying them in bulk to re-sell to the rest of us lemmings (see that 2nd one down on the left – you wouldn’t believe the frenzy it caused. but I plead the 5th on the lengths I went to get one). Seriously – it’s all just part of the fun.

As for me…well, I have plenty. I took this today while reorganizing just part of my blanket collection.

So basically, when I photograph your newborn and they do their business on one of my blankets…it’s all good, and totally expected. I have more.;)

maureenw - Love all the yummy textures here. I would love to see what colors you have as well. Are they all neutrals?

berta - Yumm!! They all look so snuggly :)

Traci - Love all the softness! Do you usually stick to the neutrals?

Season Moore - I was just thinking that I need to refresh my stash, too many are worn out and need to go. Hmmm, so about that one second to the bottom…?? :-p

Lisa - Maureen & Traci, yeah – I have some colors, but I typically only use those in baskets. I’m a big neutral gal…

Anna-Karin - I am so lol at this photograph. I have way to many blankets at my studio as well. Comes in handy for newborn sessions especially if a baby is having lots of little accidents.

Tessa - Oh Lisa this cracks me up! Quite a collection you have there! lol

Kimberly - lust, lust, lust!
