So just about the LAST thing a mom wants to hear on the eve of her family’s photography session is a loud THUMP followed by a piercing scream, right? Turns out sweet Hannah accidentally fell out of her bed, thumping her cheek on the dresser. Ouch! Something that happens to *every* child, but the timing couldn’t be worse.

After sending a quick picture to me, I deduced the boo-boo was easily remedied through the magic of editing…and the session was on. And as you can see, nary a bruise to be seen on her beautiful face:

What made this session (our 3rd) especially fun for us all was that Hannah has reached the age where she doesn’t want to be held if Jack is also being held…and Jack has discovered this magical thing called WALKING and doesn’t want to be held at all. He does love airplanes, though!

So you know how I mentioned the whole ‘holding’ issue? Well, I have to end with this. I don’t think I’ve ever posted an outtake before, but this one is just too priceless to resist. And I know Vanessa & T.J. will have a good laugh. Ironically, we got our best images of mom and the kids within 5 minutes of this shot.;)

Karen - Yes, i laughed out loud at the last! It happens:)

Michelle Kane - What cuties! Lovely B&Ws. ;-)

Andy - I continue to be inspired by your photographs. My wife introduced me to your blog a few months ago and it makes me want to learn more and more each day. Thank you very much!

Kimberly - The outtake is hysterical. Any mom or dad will recognize that moment and it should be immortalized. It’s part of parenting too! So glad Miss H made it through her fall okay (can’t see any booboo at all) and congrats to Mister J on his new skills – they’re adorable. I do hope the family image is going to hang in the hallway of their gorgeous home!

Lori - That last one is a classic!
