Quite a few of my long-time blog readers may recognize this wonderful family, as Jen and I have been friends for many years. She’s been nicely asking me to come to Cincinnati to photograph her family for awhile now, but the timing just prevented it from happening. As luck would have it, they decided to vacation at a lake here in Georgia, and our family joined them for a couple of days. Heaven!
As a photographer, it was such a treat to just hang out with this loving family, capturing events as they would occur. I always say that for the love to shine through, a family needs to bring it – and boy did they bring it!

my favorite thing is the photos where we are walking. and kay’s arm is locked in mine. this is our normal way. she always hooks her arm around mine, every time we are in public. i love that she does this at age 14… with her stepmom. isn’t it wonderful? so glad you captured it. i love these girls so much. so happy. thanks, lisa!
