A big platter of shish kebobs? Ok, watermelon and corn on the cob…oh, and fried chicken, but we don’t eat that (trying to watch our figures here at ye olde Russo household).
Mmmm….shish kebobs. Sirloin, onion, yellow and red peppers, cherry tomatoes and some good teriyaki. My neighbors will be hating me for enjoying the lovely aroma in about an hour from now.

Apologies to our Northern friends, but summer hit Georgia in full force over the weekend. We don’t really HAVE “spring” per se. We have winter | summer | pollen summer | summer | fall summer | winter. Guessing by the temperature and sun today, I’d say the yellow season will be upon us in about 3 days.
So, my fellow Georgians – enjoy the open windows while you can!
Last week was so fun – I have two more adorable newborns and a fun maternity session to sneak peek, so be on the lookout!

Juli Elgin - You would think after 5 years I would be used to this weather but it sneaks up on me every time. Last week we had sweaters on with the heat going and this week we have the windows open and do I dare say…the air on. Welcome to Georgia.
Those kabobs look so yummy. I will have to give them a try.
Thanks for sharing.
Michelle Parsley - Mmmmmmm…now I’m hungry!!!
Kimberly Hill - ::sigh:: Condo living doesn’t allow for grills so though we’re not neighbors, add me to the love-to-hate-you list. My car had a yellow dusting on it today from the Bradford pear trees and pine trees so yep, you’re about 3 days out!
chris plamann - oh lisa, that looks like heaven. i’m inviting myself over for dinner!
Laurel - I totally understand about not having spring. Here in Pennsylvania, we don’t have spring either. Oh, I know, the weathermen and the scientists will tell you that we DO have spring. But I disagree.
Instead, we have what my husband lovingly refers to as Mud Season. It’s also known as Pothole Season.
