Valentine’s day will always be extra special for us. Why? Because on Valentine’s Day 2005 – after 4+ long years of heartache – our darling Ava was conceived. It was so romantic! I went into one room and was sent to sleep…Vic went into another…Drs. Toner and Denis at Atlanta Center for Reproductive Medicine worked their magic, and several months later our little miracle arrived.
I’ve never made it a secret that Ava came to be thanks to the amazing science of in-vitro fertilization – and I’ve always welcomed any and all questions about the process. And with all of the negative publicity surrounding IVF lately, I just wanted to post a little reminder of the joys it can bring.
We love you, little stinkerpants. More than you can ever know. Happy Valentine’s Day.

Juli Elgin - I have a 7 year old nephew that was also an in-vitro baby. Aren’t these little miracles amazing and I must say just loads of fun. Look at that smile. It just melts your heart.
Lisa - I remember when you were in the hospital early with her and i just prayed and prayed that everything would work out for you. I’m so glad it did and she is just beautiful!!!

berta - Little Ava is the best example of what In-vitro should be! A very much wanted and loved little angel! You are lucky to have her & she is lucky to have the mom & dad she has! She may be a “stinkerpants” but that spunk got her thru her early arrival! Love to the whole family!
sharonajones@mac.com - If it were not for little Ava we would not have met. I remember you were a few weeks behind me and yet she could not wait to enter the world much sooner than was deemed safe. So glad she is a healthy happy crazy 3 yr old. I feel the same way about my IVF journey.
