So tonight for dinner we went to the Greek Festival down the street – I don’t think we’ve ever missed a year since we’ve lived here in East Cobb.
This was Ava’s first time going when she wasn’t locked into a stroller – and all she wanted to do was join in the dancing. It was quite amusing. About 30 minutes in, Daddy decided she needed a little greek dancing scarf, so he ran off to get her one.
Since I didn’t feel like dragging the big bag o’equipment along with me, I didn’t get any pictures (I MUST get a nice little point and shoot – a powershot, maybe?). But I had to take a few when we got home:

So let’s see…
pink
you wear it
beads
bells
(pseudo) money
jingles and shakes when you dance around.
Yup…pretty much everything a little girl wants.![]()
The problem now is getting her to go to bed without it.

becky - Too precious. I’m sure it was even better at the fair. Can’t help with the point and shoot I get too frustated with them on the shutter lag and just drag my big camera around
Michele - Cute!
My 3 year old daughter would go nuts for that dancing scarf!!
I also go sick of lugging around my big SLR. So I got a Sony Cybershot for Mother’s Day. (I will email you a link.) It’s not bad for a point and shot and has some nice features.
Susan - So has you gotten her to take that off yet? She is so cute. Hoping for a girl now! (I go back and forth all the time!)
We have the canon powershot (sd750). I like that it fits into my purse or even a pocket. It takes great pictures outdoors but the indoor shots are not all that great. Maybe it is my lack of knowledge rather than the camera. It has a lot of different settings and options so I am sure you could make those shots look better. Over all, I have fun with it….just thought I would add my two cents on the point and shoot!
berta - I want a scarf like that =) She is adorable.
I have a Canon A560 that is always in my purse. I love it and have gotten some very good photos w/ it. It even fits in my pocket if need be, but it is nice to know it is always there. You never know when photo op will come up =) And I didn’t want to drag the DLSR & bag with me.
Sharla Graber - I know I know….but I still can’t see you with a point and shoot!!!
I love Ava’s little legs! Battle scars I’m sure! He he! They look like my children’s legs!
Allison - I LOVE the angle on that first shot—WOW! Fabulous—I really need to check your blog more often!!!
cindy - so cute!
Marie - She is getting so big!!
Jeanette - Although I’m no photographer, I have a fear of purchasing a smaller point & shoot in fear of that I will be more lazy about using my digital slr, as a result. But I have been convinced by some folks that point out the fact that I’ve missed out on photo opportunities because I do not have my digital slr with me. So I’m shopping for a small point & shoot.
