silver frames (ahhh….)

So do you remember this Wall Gallery? Well, the framed prints were so absolutely breathtaking, I HAD to snap a couple of quick shots to share.

I tell ya…black will ALWAYS be classic, but silver – in the right location – is amazing.

Forgive the bad product photography (I shoot people, not things), and the white balance is a little wonky, but here is my new 1.5″ brushed matte silver frame:

And here is the brushed wide silver:

I’m no interior decorator, but I’m not sure I’d love the silver with yellow, ivory or light taupe (white or black or wood would be a better choice). But with a cool grey/blue wall (like the one where this gallery will hang), in a pink baby girl’s room…a sky blue baby boy’s room…with a cool-toned mint green…Gorgeous!

Sarah - Love the silver…I hope the brushed silver look never goes out of style. I agree that it looks better with cooler colors and black or wood is better with yellow and light taupe.
If in doubt, like you said, black always looks great and pops on the walls. But silver done right is awesome!!

cynthia - i love the silver however i’m partial to black! i have a huge grouping of black frames up my staircase and i can add to it as time passes! taupe walls too…ahhhhh

these are very pretty, the photos do make them!

Barb - I have some b&w prints in my kitchen with brushed silver/nickel finished frames. My kitchen is butter yellow, my trim and cabinets are a soft white, and my accents (and faucet) are all brushed nickel. It works well for me!
