Aidan got his 1st quarter (3rd grade) report card the other day.
Reading: Excellent and above grade level.
English: Excellent.
Spelling: Excellent.
Mathematics: Excellent.
4 subjects. 4 Excellents.
And a note from his teacher:
"Aidan enjoys learning so much and actively participates in all lessons with great enthusiasm. He sets high expectations for himself. His writing skills are admirable for a student his age."
Her challenge with him is keeping him challenged. His class is doing the Wordly Wise vocabulary books. Aidan is using book 6…which is for 9th grade.
His teacher called last night and told me that Aidan is always happy, always enjoys himself and has a smile on his face. That he’s a delight to teach and have around. I love his teacher this year.
He’s always been this way – He inherited his daddy’s brains and my love of reading – but it’s easy to take it for granted. So it’s nice to be reminded of what a sweet, smart boy we have.
Thank you for letting me brag on him a bit. He’ll enjoy this.
