I LOOOVE handing off the finished product to my clients.
Seriously, it’s one thing to see your images on a computer screen, it’s entirely another to see them like this:
This triptych of 3 11×14 framed images is going over the couch in their living room – one of the first things you see when you walk in the door.
This storyboard is part of a wall grouping that’s going to run up the front hall stairs:
This storyboard is going in sweet little ‘M’s room:
Could she be any sweeter? I love the footsie shot. Nothing says ‘baby’ like little chunky legs and tiny toes. Sigh…

Speaking of babies, mine is now officially two. Want to see her cake?
And no, I did not post that simply to torture my mother, who was not here to enjoy any of the lovely chocolate and vanilla marbled cake with buttercream frosting. What? Oh, where was I?
When it came time to blow out the candles, Ava instead chose to just be fascinated by their flickering loveliness. She’s not old enough yet to know that blowing out the candles = cake consumption. But seriously, what does the wee spoiled princess have to wish for anyway, right?
You’ll notice that Vic and Aidan are each holding one of her hands to keep her from reaching out to grab the frosting. And they say I’m anal! Harumph!
It’s just not quite as fun when they don’t grab fistfuls and smoosh them in their mouth, is it?
Sadly, I missed most of the present opening, as it was Open House at Aidan’s school. His teacher is lovely – I’m so pleased. I’m also co-room mom and I’m setting up the blog for the school’s PTA. Apparently I just don’t have enough to do.![]()
What did missy receive? Lessee…A pink (!) bubble mower that doesn’t work very well, a Fisher-Price ‘My First Dollhouse,’ a little set of ‘My Little Pony’s (remember those? with the purple and pink hair? awww…), some play-doh and some crayons.
The sweetest gift, however, came from Aidan. Who gave Ava his entire collection of ‘Bedtime Buddies.’ Bunny, Austin the dog, his 3 Webkinz, the dragon he won at Busch Gardens when he was 4…pretty much every stuffed animal he’s loved and cuddled over the years.
He said he was getting too old for them and he knew Ava would love them. And indeed she does – she’s napping with Austin right now. Awww…
Here’s my sweet boy.

OH, I’m reading a GREAT book!
I read a lot. To put it mildly. I LOVE Joseph Finder’s books. They’re always about some business guy who gets himself in the middle of a bad situation. They’re the kind of books you start, then can’t put down, then are really bummed when you finish them.
I read this one last week:
It was slower-paced, but very interesting. I enjoyed it enough that I’m going to pick up his older books to read soon.
I visited Borders today and got these:
They’re both the latest in their series. Nothing makes me happier than a nice stack of books on my table. I love that I’ve passed it along to Aidan, too – he’s reading the first Harry Potter now, which is lovely, except when when he wants to read ‘together’ and then proceeds to tell me all about what he’s reading. Silence is golden.

Ok, so now that we’ve recovered from vacation, both kids are ensconced in school, meet-and-greets and open houses are done, the PTA blog is set up and Ava’s birthday is over, it’s time for some photography-related news.
I had a really fun and different kind of session yesterday. Images soon!
I’m planning to post some of this year’s Holiday Card options tomorrow. If you’re thinking of booking a session for the holidays…don’t wait. I only have a handful of Saturdays left open between now and my final date for Holiday Cards (November 15). So if you’re thinking about it, let me know soon.
Falalalala!
