Our baby girl is two today.
For those who didn’t already know, Ava was not only an IVF baby, but she was born 10 weeks early. My water broke at 27 weeks, and she arrived 3 weeks later at 29 weeks, 6 days.
She weighed 3 pounds, 10 ounces, but only spent 3 weeks in the NICU before coming home to us.
She was *so* tiny. I remember having to roll up the sleeves of her preemie outfits.
I was going to put together a slideshow of her life so far – but decided that would be cruel and unusual punishment for those of us who would sob our way through it. And today is not a day for tears.
Happy 2nd birthday, our little miracle girl. Who has brought so much joy into our lives.
