I was one of the lucky few who got to attend the One Day – Two Ways workshop yesterday with the amazing Nate Kaiser and Susan Stripling. It was a jam-packed day with a lot of info – Honestly, we got there around 9, and I think I blinked and it was 11 p.m. Really.
It was so much fun, and I learned some awesome new things (because a photographer *never* stops learning!).
We spent most of the day out shooting – the area we were in was very urban and gritty, which made it really interesting for those of us who usually shoot up here in the ‘burbs.
Here’s Nate in action:
In person? Exactly as you imagine. Funny, down-to-earth, and an all-around great guy. I feel so lucky to have met (and learned from) him.
Look at this amazing shot Susan set up for us. Susan is the queen of posing, and we all got some fantastic tips from her on making women look their best.
Did you know photographers *love* to watch each other work and take pictures of each other?
Shhh…it’ll be our secret. Here’s our new friend Rona taking a shot of Alisha.
And here’s Alisha – we kept walking by this building with the cool walls and turquoise shutters and finally couldn’t resist taking a few shots.
All in all it was a fantastic day that was over *way* too quickly.
